So excited to share this... mom and dad got another puppy! I knew that this day would be coming soon... mom kept telling me that dad was making trips to Feeders Supply "just to look" at the puppies. When they told me that they were going to PetSmart for their adoption weekend "just to look" yet again, I knew there was going to soon be an addition to the Turner household.
This sudden urge to get another puppy was sparked by the loss of Cinnamon, our family dog since I was in the 3rd grade. She was such a great girl, and is missed lots- especially by our other dog Maddison. Mom and dad thought Maddie was getting lonely- or that was their excuse!
Cinnamon and Maddison

As soon as I got the call that they got a puppy I decided we definitely needed to take a trip to see the little guy- Josh was excited to meet him too! So Josh, Kaylee (our chocolate lab) and I headed to Crestwood to meet the little guy... Hunter Blaze Turner!

Maddie is slowly adjusting to life with Hunter. He has so much personality already! It is a big change from having Cinnamon around. As you can tell by looking at him, he is no pure breed! He has some hound and beagle, and I am sure a few others mixed in there!

On another note- Josh and I celebrated our first Valentines Day as a married couple yesterday. I have to say- it was the perfect day. I got back to school (we were at a dance) to find that he had sent flowers. I never expected this- it was so sweet.
I am so goofy, too... the day before I made a comment about how it was so silly for men to spend so much money on roses. I should have just kept my mouth shut! And even though I said that and roses are so overpriced on this day- it was so special to recieve them. Just another time when that filter from my head to my mouth was not working! When I got home Josh also gave me a cook book to go along with my new mixer :).
I decided to get Josh a little something fun- I feel like I blew it on Christmas and his birthday this year. So, I got him a PS3 game and some chocolate!
For dinner, we went to our favorite, Charlie Browns. It was empty- and it was perfect. We had drinks, a delicious dinner, and the opportunity to just sit and relax on one of the comfy couches!

I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day yesterday!

Snow Day

Today was snow day number thirteen (I think)! It has been hard to keep up, we have had so many. Today I tried to be as productive as possible... with that being said, here is a re-cap of what I actually did.

I woke up to a text from Josh requesting Chik-fil-A. Me being the loving wife that I am, obliged (it had nothing to do with the fact that I LOVE Chick-fil-A). So Kaylee and I hopped in the car and got some breakfast for Josh, his co-worker (Happy Birthday, KP!) and myself. Kaylee was so excited to get a doggy treat in the drive through (going to the bank is her all time fave, a doggy treat is gauranteed)!
I think that Kaylee likes snow days more than me, she gets tons of attention, play time, and treats!

So after this excursion and fattening delicious breakfast, I was ready to get to work! And I did, a little. I managed to fold and hang up some clothes, followed by some organizing in my closet. I was on a deadline, though, because snow days are the perfect oppurtunity for lunch dates with girlfriends. Because Everything EDK was not feeling too great, our criteria for lunch was soup or something cold- we fit in a little bit of both! Buddy's Grill is becoming a favorite, and they have a great sandwich-soup combo that was perfect. We then made our way to Nati-Creme. I had never been there before, but Emily promised I would not be dissapointed- she was so right. You get a cup, fill it up with whatever flavor yogurt you choose (you can pick every flavor, if you want) and then choose from a plethora of toppings and mixings. At the end it is weighed, and your price is based off that. I loved it, and the whole time we were there I kept thinking about how much Josh would love it. I am excited to take him there!

Lunch, then...

...dessert!

Now it is time to get ready for our indoor soccer game. Even though I am the worst on the team (really, I am terrible) I absolutely love it! It is something that Josh and I share, and it is an oppurtunity to catch up with some of my best friends from high school (our team is mostly Crestwood kids). So far this season we are 1-1. So- I'm off! Wish me luck!

the weekend.

The weekend... my favorite. It is the perfect time to catch up on everything I may have neglected during the week- friends, housework... the list goes on! Here is a recap of this weekends festivities.

Saturday Josh and I woke up to a gloomy day- rain. It was the perfect time to watch movies (one of our favorite things to do) and just chill. After this downtime together it was time for me to to head to Louisville to see my best friend for her birthday- I haven't missed one since we became friends our freshman year of high school. Even though I won't get to spend her actual birthday with her, it was great catching up with her and her family.
After lunch with Sandy and power shopping with Mom- it was time to head back to my husband for Super Bowl XLV! We went to a friends for perfect viewing...
delicious food, and time with good looking friends...
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend just as much as I/we did. Now back to the real world!

Brand New to Blogging!

Hey all! So, I finally gave in and created my very own blog! I love being able to read about friends and family, some near, some far, and all the things they blog about! It seems like such a great way to share ideas! Through my blog I hope to be able to share with others the many adventures that Josh and I experience together- both big and small!
